One of England’s oldest companies, incorporated in 1857, Gresham appointed Fireworx to create their new identity in 2015. Soon after, we were asked to redevelop the website. The challenge was to maintain a link to the long-standing heritage of the company whilst embracing modern technology and a forward thinking strategic approach.

It was important to Gresham that the new website was optimised to index well in the search results for chosen keyphrases, so Fireworx were engaged to ensure SEO best practices were followed.


The brand identity was developed successfully, through the positioning of ‘traditional values, modern methods’. Iconic imagery of London’s heritage was mixed with modern technology.

A keyphrase audit was undertaken to ascertain the target keyphrases used in the site development, and a content plan was agreed with Gresham. Given the standing of Gresham on the London Stock Exchange it was necessary to be extremely focused on satisfying regulatory criteria without detracting from the user experience.
